Base at night.

I have heard of the "Aurora Australis" or southern lights. So far I've been unable to spot them. First Big Foot, now this!? I know they exist. Here is someones photo that was lucky enough to spot them.

Oopps...wrong photo but equally elusive....

I was here....and there...and everywhere around the area. At least I didn't walk too far to see nothing. I have about two more weeks to see them if not....well I have this picture I guess. Then it will be 24 hours of sunlight.  There were more stars then I can ever remember seeing. And you could see the moon so clearly I spotted the American flag. Well not quite but close...

Not the best picture, but I know who to ask for help next time...

Oh yeah I'm gonna have to get a tour of that building.......

But; what I did get to see in my walk at night was both interesting and bizarre. I suppose you need to keep your sense of humor at all times. So here is a different means of marking storage rows for crates:

Yes, they were all labeled with different mustaches and beard names. I will investigate this more, maybe there is a story behind it. Also, some crates were simply marked with the obvious; say, "truck parts" or "i-beams"; some were creatively marked......

....nice artwork. Don't know what's in them but I guess its hard to miss the "Daffy Box".
Some labels are kinda crazy, a little silly.....

REALLY? Don't freeze? Tell me how to do that one. Sometimes here a label won't help you get what you need....

That's about three feet of snow on top of that box. Hope its nothing we need till....uh spring? Ha!

Also some creative door artwork on buildings....

On a serious note.If you need help, simply call 911. Just like everywhere else. Your gonna see something different show up at your door though....

The ambulance is the same, with some meaty tires...and suspension....

Not much gets stuck in the snow here.....

And they have WAY!!!!! better plows then PA.....

This is in addition to the bulldozers, bobcats, and huge front end loaders. Oh yeah and they even have graders like this one...(in case you don't know what a grader is)

Well in closing I have found out that everything here has a label of some sort. Even me......

Until next time......
